This project topic was working with creative recreation. The objective was to design a physical product that was intended to help solve problems related to recreation, sports, and health.
Luminous Garden was developed to help lower one's stress living in a busy city. It brought plants into an apartment “home,” but in a different way. One that was fun, fulfilling, and to help reduce stress. Luminous Garden is a hybrid plant chandelier that showcases plants while introducing red light therapy that is beneficial to both plants and humans. The chandelier offers a product where one can cultivate plants while offering normal lighting as well as red light therapy. The chandelier is operated by a remote that can change the lighting and also lower the plants so they are accessible to be cared for. The solution provided a way to reduce stress by the red light and additionally help one feel accomplished by keeping plants thriving while bringing nature indoors and a beautiful design into the home.
